Opening Ceremony takes place Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. Closing Ceremony is Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 10:00 p.m. with a special New Year's Eve celebration afterward. The Awards Banquet announcing the winners in every category is Saturday, January 7, 2012 beginning at 6:30 p.m.

CONTESTANTS:
|
There are 28 contestant sites at Los Abrigados Resort and Spa displaying an estimated one million lights. Although not eligible for voting this year, the Stonehouse is decorated by last year's Grand Prize Winner.

BENEFICIARIES:
|
Two dozen regional service organizations.
|
|
TIMES:
|
Every evening, weather permitting, Sunday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

ADMISSION:
|
Admission prices are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $2 for children aged 4-12 and is complimentary for children under 4. Blocks of twenty tickets or more are sold at a discounted rate of $4 each.

BALLOTS:
|
All those touring the lights will be given a ballot containing a route map, which will allow them to choose five favorite displays. The completed ballots may be dropped in the ballot box located in the lobby of the restaurant. Awards are given to those placing in different levels of People's Choice, Kid's Choice and Contestant's Choice categories.

ROUTE:
|
The route is clearly marked with reflective strips and begins outside the resort lobby under the lighted Red Rock Fantasy arch. It takes approximately 60 minutes to complete the tour by foot.

|
PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED GUESTS:
|
Physically challenged guests requiring assistance to tour the displays may inquire about assistance at the ticket area; a staff member will be happy to help. The route stays on paved areas of the resort, offering all guests the opportunity to see each display.
